São Gonçalo Pilgrimage

This is a symbolic feast. Sao Goncalo, Portuguese saint of the thirteenth century, was consecrated by the people as matchmaker and her cult is associated with fertility. Amarante remains the custom of unmarried women embrace the saint and asked her husband. Takes place simultaneously an annual fair, a folk festival, a competition of bass drums, bullfights, livestock competition, camp, and fireworks.

Party in Honor to S. Brás de Telões

"They are in Latin S. Brás Blasius, Blai in Catalan, French Blaise, Blas Spanish famously withdrew because of a child, no one instrument had the same thorn in the throat. Therefore it is considered the patron saint of diseases of the throat and his feast day, February 3, in the cities of Spain and some of the interior of Brazil, mothers take their children to bless the throat.
